Michael Ball will be hosting the 2016 Olivier Awards as they mark their 40th anniversary year.
The singer and presenter – who has previously won two Oliviers – told the BBC what if feels like to win and lose an award.
The musical Gypsy leads this year’s field with eight nominations.
The winners will be announced at London’s Royal Opera House on Sunday night.
